The great fortean surrealist, performer, actor and theatre director Ken Campbell has died suddenly aged 66. There are obituaries on the Guardian web site here and here.

I’m just getting to know Ken’s brand of Humour and realise we have been sadly deprived of a great and unique genius. Up there with Spike and now really up there with Spike.
I love the story of him teaching his parrot to say ‘I’m up here and your down there’ followed by a snigger, so he could repeat it after Ken had gone.
