Seance at Hobs Lane reissued

SA friend and collaborator Drew Mulholland, aka Mount Vernon Arts Lab, has just had his classic album Seance at Hobs Lane reissued on the Ghost Box label – there could be no more perfect home for it. With collaborations from members of Add N to X, Belle & Sebastian, Coil and others, Seance exists in world whose national anthem was written by Tristram Cary and Prof Bernard Quatermass set the schools curriculum.

From their web site: “Mount Vernon Arts Lab join Ghost Box, after years of experimentation in geomancy, psychogeography and ancient British Electronics. Visceral sounds that immerse the listener in a world of deserted tube stations, 18th century secret societies, time haunted vaults beneath Neolithic barrows, and haunted Scottish pub cellars.”

You can see buy the album online direct from Ghost Box, and we also intend to stock it in the Shoppe soon. Meanwhile Drew’s Musick that Destroys Itself is still available. His ‘Bent Sinister by Sound’ album was released in an ultra limited edition on our own Futher Sounds label last year and is now out of print.

Look out for a new Further Sounds release from another special guest later this year.
