On the 15th March 2005, Madrid, Spain will see the launch of its official “Homenaje”, (Homage), CD Album, a tribute to the spirit and energy of the people who live in the city.
The music on the CD invites the listener to take a look and interpret the spirit of the city since 110304. The CD Album will be available to buy from the official Homenaje Madrid website as of 15.03.05.
The CD features artists including: Gintas K, Leafcutter John, Silvania, Francisco Lopez, Tim Hecker, Jansky Noise, Solypsis, Hamish Binns, Jaap Blonk, Wolfmangler, Rec_Overflow and many more.

As an expat (Mancunican) living in Madrid this last year I was shocked by what went on, so I decided to make a Homage CD / Album dedicate to the people and the spirit of the City. On the CD I tried to pull all sorts of music in mostly from Spain but also by other nationals who live here and who were directly effected by what has happend in the City including the Bombings.
So finally this CD together contains field recordings of Madrid, local Punk, experimental and music concrete from the likes of Franscico Lopez and well many, many more, the CD is a snap-shot of the City and the last 12 months….
We are trying indirectly i.e outside of Spain to promote the Album for tomorrow 1 year after 11M, and wonder if you can help. The Homenaje CD will be in manufacture on the 15th March 2005, this is the first day after the official 3 days of mourning here in Madrid, we expect to have copies within about 2-3 weeks of this date, but we will start pre-selling the CD on our website as of the 15th
Tomorrow we have interviews on Radio in Madrid, and air-play on several Spanish stations, I’d appreciate it if you could mention the CD album today / tomorrow to anyone or on your web-pages, or if you know anyone in press or on radio please spread the word about the project to them!
The album is a double, with well over 120 min. electronic, punk, noise, and everything else inbetween, for euro 11.03 plus postage, i think this is deal no matter where you are!!!
