a night of insect-made and inspired live music and performance featuring:
Robyn Hitchcock, Mira Calix (Warp Records), David Rothenberg, Stewart Lee, and the Resonance Radio Orchestra. Poet John Hegley is also preparing a special video presentation for us. Plus lights and projections by Lightning Rod & Chris Irish.

Thursday 1 June from 7.30pm: Bug Eyes:
Our film night featuring new short films, live music and screenings of Ladislaw Starewicz’s The Cameraman’s Revenge, a 1912 animation using real insects, with a new, specially commissioned live soundtrack. And, Phase IV (pictured above), a mesmerising, thoughtful 1974 eco-science fiction film, directed by Saul Bass. Bass designed the opening sequences for many of Alfred Hitchcock’s films.
The films will be followed by a discussion about insects in cinema with Dr Claire Preston, Prof David Rothenberg, Malcolm Tait and Bridget Nicholls. Moderated by Mark Pilkington.
Tickets £8/£5 concessions. Advanced booking number: 020 8409 4400
All events take place at the London Wetland Centre in Barnes, West London.
We strongly advise booking ahead for both nights as spaces are strictly limited.
