The second series of Weird Tales For Winter is underway this week on Resonance FM, with classic creepy tales and haunted audio hosted by Jonny Mugwump of the Exotic Pylon radio show and club night.
‘Weird Tales for Winter is an invitation to enjoy a psychic communal experience – eight sonic portals to familiar worlds collapsing on the margins of the uncanny…’
Mixing spoken word with electronic music, the series kicked off over the weekend with William Hope Hodgson’s The Gateway of the Monster soundtracked by Ghost Box alumni The Advisory Circle and Moon Wiring Club; the story concludes tonight at the witching hour.
Later in the week there’s more Hope Hodgson, this time with Ensemble Economique and the Outer Church providing the music for the classic House on the Borderland, as well as guest mixes by Jonny Trunk and Mark Fisher, and tales by MR James, Hans Christian Andersen and WF Harvey. Full schedule to be found here.
