That dynamic sonic duo SAVD will perform both National Grid – utilising live mains electricity and antique laboratory equipment – and Circuit Blasting – in which we attack cheap electronic keyboards with high voltage electrical devices – at Newcastle’s Centre for Life on 5 March 2008 as part of the city’s AV festival.
For those who have no idea what I’m talking about, here are Youtube clips of National Grid at London’s Corsica Studios in 2004 and Circuit Blasting at the Unitarian Church in Cambridge in 2006. And a real treat – rare film of the boys at the Stoke Newington Literary and Scientific Society “Xmas Conversatione” in 1893.
Tickets for the Newcastle event are £5.00 each. To book your place ring the box office on 0191 232 8289 or pay on the night.
