Episode 1 of new BBC series The Brain: A Secret History is now up on iPlayer. It’s a brief history of mind control which takes in Pavlov’s dogs, MK Ultra, electroshock therapy and deep brain stimulation, as well as some live experimentation with psilocybin by presenter and psychiatrist Michael Mosley, as part of a discussion about the potentially beneficial effects of hallucinogenic drugs.
