Great photo set, and a brief article, at Wired. Two Russian geeks are rescuing old arcade games from the scrap heap and putting them on display in a bomb shelter.
I don’t know how representative a sample this is, but it’s striking how, compared to a Western European or US arcade, so few of the games involve killing and violence, especially as they were built by the military – for “entertainment and active leisure, as well as the development of visual-estimation abilities.”
They do have a Duck Hunt though…
