Annoucing Dreamflesh Journal

After years of digital exile, Gyrus, editor of the seminal Towards 2012 mega-zine, is at last returning to print. I can’t wait and hope to be able to contribute a piece myself:

“Dreamflesh journal will document independent thought and practice revolving around the many-threaded, plait-like axis of themes that crystallized through my publishing, writing, experiences, thoughts and conversations leading up to the millennium. At the core is our culture’s inheritance of a mainstream tradition that manages to repress both the joys of the flesh and the mysteries of the less immediate, more fluid levels of manifestation commonly lumped together now as “altered states”. This inheritance is breaking down—fast—in the face of psycho-chemical culture, mind-manifesting media, biotechnologies, constant challenges to gender structures, constant streams of revelation (albeit often masked by scholarly caution) from anthropology and archaeology, and the bitter, perilous death-throes of monotheist fundamentalism.”
